  16. My problem was with rendering speed only. The actual on-screen updates on 
  17. my machine are very speedy indeed. This is very much dependant on your 
  18. video board and driver software. I am using an ATI Mach 64 PCI board - 
  19. although I am using it in 16bit rather than 24 bit mode - so that I can 
  20. keep the screen in a 1100 pixel wide res. It is pretty hard to tell the 
  21. difference in most cases.
